Charmed by Marbella

I’m the first to admit, I’m a tough cookie to impress. After experiencing so many amazing destinations, resorts, and restaurants, the bar is high. And I was charmed by Marbella – in a BIG way!

Marbella, Spain is nestled between the Sierra Blanca mountain range and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. It’s historic center, “Casco Antiguo,” is a maze of narrow cobblestone streets, white-washed buildings, and colorful flower pots. Every corner you turn, the charm increases!

Marbella’s Paseo Marítimo is a lovely beachfront promenade perfect for a leisurely stroll or a scenic bike ride, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean. During our stay, we peddled our way from our home-away-from-home, Marbella Club Hotel, to lunch at beach club Chiringuito; as well as biked into Casco Antiguo for shopping and alley-strolling.

Thanks to the sheltering Sierra Blanca mountains, Marbella enjoys a unique microclimate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and mild temperatures—ideal for year-round visits. But, if you know us, we do have strong recommendations on when the most ideal time to visit is.

Marbella is a diverse destination, making it a great fit for those looking for luxury, beach & mountain views, boating, fishing, golf, biking (including mountain biking), hiking, nightlife, culture, day trips to the nearby Spanish villages, amazing food, and rest & relaxation. Families, honeymooners, couples, or a girls’ trip are all invited!
